Chapter 13: A week of good news and good choices.

Kipwil was still getting back on track after the last week.  She was hitting all her workouts with Sergeant JFDI and giving it her all.  She was eating the meals Nanny provided, just like before and there was not a Cadbury Creme egg in sight.  Kipwil still struggled in herself though, her first thought would be to skip a workout or 'I've earned a choccy' but then her responsibility and commitment would roll over her again and she'd forcibly change her thinking.

One of Kipwil's goals was to run the half marathon, and this led to a serious talk with Sergeant JFDI.

" Kipwil, I need you to run 4 times a week to be ready for this race," he said seriously but firmly. " We need to look at your schedule and make some tough decisions."

Kipwil brought her calendar to the table and together they looked at all the highlighted sections.

" Well, how about I run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and one day on the weekend?" Kipwil suggested.

" And these workouts already planned?" Sergeant JFDI indicated the Body pump classes set for 3 times in the week.

" Well, if I can't work around them, I'll skip them until after the half marathon and then pick it up.  But see?  I can do the class in this timeslot instead."

And so it transpired that Kipwil would do 2 body pump classes and her running as main exercise, a fatburner class and 2 CX classes for strength and core and one swimming session a week.

Kipwil loved running although not all runs were good feeling runs, and nearly every time it was the force of her mind keeping her going forwards instead of turning back or walking. It was an achievement each and every run, especially the ones she had to fight hard for, and she couldfeel her ind becoming more and more focused.

But more good news this week.....Kipwil's kinder class were the loveliest she had seen for a long time and work was going smoothly and calmly.  This made Kipwil feel at ease....she hated chaos and disorganisation.  She found herself looking forward to work every day.

The good news didn't stop there!  Kipwil's son came home from school elated, after a nervous and sad first week back.

" Mum! Look at this!" he cried as he handed Kipwil a newsletter.  There on the front page was a list of children who had been voted in as Sports Captain.  And there was her son's name!!

" FANTASTIC!" Kipwil cried doing a little happy dance.

" Dad said we're going out to dinner tomorrow night to celebrate!"  he went on.

The night of the dinner arrived, and it happened to be Valentine's Day.  Hubba Hubba had thoughtfully sent a gorgeous arrangement of orchids to Kipwil at work and a heartfelt note which Kipwil will treasure forever. Kipwil was so happy to have her family together, going out, even if they were squeezed in a little side room.
Kipwil scanned the menu hungrily.

You know most of this is off limits to you, don't you came a little glittery voice. It was Diamond Doll.

I know.  How do I make a right choice? thought Kipwil back.

Sauces on the side, grilled and not fried and salads or vegetables all the way. sang back Diamond Doll.

Armed with this information Kipwil scanned the menu again.  Pasta, pasta, pasta, pizza pizza, steak...grilled fish!  That's what I'll have grilled fish with steamed veges.

And she did, and loved every mouthful.

So what is in store next week? Stay tuned.....
